MotoGP stars pay a visit: Jack Miller & Toprak Razgatlioglu at the Alpine F1 factory

During the mandatory summer break, things quieten down temporarily even at the bustling Formula 1 factories. This is because most staff are required to take a 14-day break in accordance with the rules. Most teams are using the opportunity to carry out maintenance work in their workshops and buildings, including the Alpine team, which nevertheless had reason to celebrate the sound of engines on Thursday.

This was because the MotoGP stars from the Prima Pramac Yamaha Team paid a visit to the Enstone factory. Jack Miller and Toprak Razgatilouglu took the opportunity to pop in during the motorcycling athletes’ Silverstone weekend. They took a look around the High Performance Centre, the command centre and the office of special adviser Flavio Briatore.

A visit to the showroom, where the trophies won, the 2019 R.S.19 and the 2005 World Championship-winning R25 are on display, was also a must. The pair also revved up their Yamaha R9 show bikes, bringing the otherwise quiet facilities to life. The duo were joined by Pramac’s two Moto2 riders, Izan Guevera and Alberto Ferrandez, and all four were treated to a tour of the Alpine facilities together with their engineers and mechanics.

MotoGP and Formula 1: Many similarities

“We took advantage of this unique opportunity to welcome the Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP team to Enstone on Thursday, as they’re racing at Silverstone this weekend. After all, Formula 1 and MotoGP have many similarities and now share the same owner in Liberty Media – so this is a great moment to bring our worlds closer together,” enthused Briatore, who also wished the Pramac riders the best of luck.

Paolo Campinoti thanked Briatore and the Alpine team for their hospitality. “It was a privilege for our riders, engineers and staff to visit such a legendary facility and experience first-hand the passion, organisation and attention to detail that have made this team so successful over the years. “Even though Formula 1 and MotoGP are different disciplines, we share the same commitment to innovation and performance, and there is always something valuable we can learn from one another,” explained the Pramac boss.
