Ferrari extends contracts with Nicklas Nielsen and Yifei Ye

Good news for Nicklas Nielsen and Yifei Ye: both drivers will remain Ferrari works drivers. Their respective existing contracts with the Maranello-based manufacturer have been extended for several years. Ferrari has now announced this. As well as competing in the 296 GT3 Evo, both are currently racing mainly in the Hypercar class of the FIA WEC. In 2026, Nielsen will share a works 499P with Antonio Fuoco and Miguel Molina. Ye will be driving the (yellow) 499P fielded by AF Corse alongside Philip Hanson and Robert Kubica.

Nicklas Nielsen has contested a total of 110 races for Ferrari since 2018, the year he won the title in the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Europe. In doing so, he has recorded five overall victories and 17 class wins, as well as 22 podium finishes in the overall standings and 42 in the class standings. In 2024, he won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the 499P. In total, Nielsen has secured three overall victories and 13 podium finishes in the FIA WEC.

“I am delighted with this contract extension, which means a great deal to me and, in a sense, feels like a logical step, as I began my racing career at Ferrari,” said Nielsen. “It is an honour to continue on this path in the name of the Prancing Horse. I would like to thank Ferrari and Antonello Coletta for the trust they have placed in me. My goals for the future? They remain unchanged: to continually improve as a driver and, together with my team-mates, to secure many more race victories.”

Ye has also already won the 24 Hours of Le Mans. That was in 2025. In 2024, he also triumphed in the 499P at the Lone Star Le Mans on the Circuit of The Americas. In 21 FIA WEC races with the 499P, Ye and his team-mates secured one pole position and three podium finishes, in addition to the two victories mentioned above. To date, Yifei Ye has contested 33 races for Ferrari.
