MXoN 2026 in Ernée: German team without Ken Roczen and Simon Längenfelder

With US Supercross Champion Ken Roczen (Suzuki) and MX2 World Champion Simon Längenfelder (KTM), the German team would have stood a good chance at the Motocross of Nations in Ernée on 4 October, but neither rider is available this year. Ken Roczen has ‘contractual commitments’ in the USA, according to the official statement. The Thuringian will compete in the AUS-X in Australia on 7 November. Simon Längenfelder must undergo surgery immediately after the end of the World Championship season on the advice of his doctors.

DMSB team with Koch, Spies and Kees

The DMSB team will therefore line up with Tom Koch, Maximilian Spies and Valentin Kees for the most prestigious race of the season. Tom Koch and Maximilian Spies already have MXoN experience. For MX2 rider Valentin Kees, this will be his first MXoN appearance.

Statement from the team managers

“We see this team as an opportunity for the future,” explained the two team managers, Marcel Dornhöfer and Karsten Schneider. “We are confident that we can put up a strong fight with Tom, Maximilian and Valentin. Of course, compared to previous years, we’re lacking a certain superstar presence right from the start, but we’ve also learnt from our experience in earlier races that a team without a world championship title can still achieve a very good team result at the MXoN. Valentin will be competing in the MX2 category. We will soon be making the strategic decision regarding Tom and Maximilian.”
