Gaildorf: Roan van de Moosdijk (KTM) wins with a perfect score

Stage 5 of the ADAC MX Masters in Gaildorf: Dutch championship leader Roan van de Moosdijk (Kosyak KTM) remained unbeaten in both races on Sunday, winning both and thereby significantly extending his lead at the top of the standings. However, the Dutchman had to fight his way to the front in both races. Swiss guest rider Valentin Guillod (Yamaha) did not start on Sunday.

Race 2: Holeshot for Koch, victory for van de Moosdijk

Sarholz-KTM rider Tom Koch took the holeshot in the first Sunday race ahead of his team-mate Noah Ludwig. Van de Moosdijk started within the top five. He overtook Noah Ludwig on lap 3 and passed Tom Koch on lap 7. He then controlled the race from the front. The Dutchman won the race with a lead of 7.1 seconds over Tom Koch and the Swiss Husqvarna rider Kevin Brumann, who managed to get the better of Ludwig halfway through the race. Maximilian Spies crossed the line in fifth place, 49 seconds behind the leader.

Race 3: Holeshot for Ludwig, victory for van de Moosdijk

Noah Ludwig, who had already taken the holeshot on Saturday, once again won the start of the third race. Van de Moosdijk started once again among the top four. He initially overtook Jorgen Matthias Talviku (Fantic) and Tom Koch. On lap 5, he overtook the leader, Noah Ludwig, and won the third race by a margin of 8.2 seconds ahead of Tom Koch. This secured him a clear victory in the day’s standings ahead of Tom Koch (3-2-2) and Noah Ludwig (2-4-4).

Following Max Nagl’s (Triumph) withdrawal due to injury, the situation at the top of the standings has changed. Roan van de Moosdijk leads after 5 of 7 rounds with a 70-point lead over Tom Koch and could therefore be crowned champion as early as the penultimate race of the season on 29–30 August in Vellahn, provided he can extend his lead to 75 points. Tom Koch, for his part, has overtaken Maximilian Spies in the standings. Spies had a rather mixed weekend in Gaildorf, finishing 4th, 5th and 8th. The Ortrand rider now sits in third place, 16 points behind Tom Koch. The battle for third place – between Tom Koch and Maximilian Spies – is set to become particularly exciting in the next two rounds of the 2026 season. Noah Ludwig moved up from seventh to sixth in the standings at Gaildorf.
