German Audi team loses pole position in the Silver Cup at the 24 Hours of Spa

Tresor Attempto Racing from Langenhagen, near Hanover, has lost pole position in the Silver Cup at the 24 Hours of Spa. The Audi driven by Mark Kastelic, Ariel Levi, Sebastian Øgaard and Rocco Mazzola finished the Superpole session in an impressive sixth place, which was equivalent to the best starting position in the category.

However, the Lower Saxony-based team’s joy was short-lived, as the car was excluded from the Superpole results on Friday evening. The technical stewards found that the car did not comply with the prescribed BoP in terms of ground clearance and minimum rear wing angle.

During the hearing with the stewards, the team assumed that this issue was due to an error they had made whilst carrying out their own measurements.

The car will therefore start the race from the back of the Superpole grid.
