US Nationals: Cornelius Toendel replaces Chase Sexton in the Kawasaki works team

The Kawasaki factory team has signed Norwegian rider Cornelius Toendel as a replacement for the injured Chase Sexton, who is sidelined with a cruciate ligament tear. Toendel is well known in Germany for his participation in the ADAC MX Masters, as well as several World Championship appearances and top-10 finishes. Toendel will be on the starting grid as early as this coming weekend at Southwick.

Toendel has already competed in three rounds of the US Nationals in 2025. This year, he raced for Team ISRT Kawasaki in the US and achieved four top-15 finishes.

“I’m very happy to have this opportunity,” said the Norwegian. “For me, it’s a really big deal to be the first Norwegian works rider in the United States.” Kawasaki team manager Dan Fahie added: “We’re really looking forward to Cornelius joining the team. We believe that, with his experience, he will be a great asset to the team.”

The Southwick track should suit the Norwegian sand specialist.
