From the Börde to Baden: The BMW M2 Cup will feature five events in 2027 and kick off its second season in early May at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. The joint one-make cup organised by the ADAC and BMW M Motorsport will once again be held as part of the high-profile DTM in 2027. Highlights include the Nuremberg City Grand Prix at the Norisring in July and the grand finale at the Hockenheimring in October. For the next season, there will be an even greater focus on promoting young talent through the ADAC’s ‘Road to DTM’ programme: the Road to DTM winner can look forward to a substantial support package on their journey to the ADAC GT4 Germany.

Following the introduction of the new BMW M2 Cup this year, which laid the foundations for a seamless progression from karting to touring car racing, this concept is set to be further strengthened next year. The aim is to offer BMW M2 Cup drivers a pathway through the entire ADAC motorsport pyramid all the way to the DTM. A large portion of the total prize fund of 305,000 euros will go directly towards the BMW M2 Cup champion’s next career step. The ‘Road to DTM’ winner will receive a share of 170,000 euros in the form of entry fees, tyre packages and prize money to secure a drive in the ADAC GT4 Germany the following season.

BMW M2 Cup drivers can take their first step towards the ADAC GT4 Germany at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben, where the season opener takes place from 7 to 9 May. The series then continues from 18 to 20 June in Brandenburg at the DEKRA Lausitzring, before moving on to Franconia for the Norisring – Germany’s last remaining street circuit – from 2 to 4 July. There, the young drivers can expect a particular challenge between the narrow crash barriers. The Cup enters its decisive phase from 20 to 22 August in the Eifel region on one of the DTM’s most historic circuits, the Nürburgring, before the grand finale takes place from 8 to 10 October at the Motodrom in Baden – the Hockenheimring. By this stage at the latest, it will become clear who has what it takes to take the next step on the ‘Road to DTM’.
