DTM to feature live audio description for blind and visually impaired fans for the first time

A first for the DTM: during the race weekend at the Nürburgring from 14 to 16 August, a race with live audio description for blind and visually impaired fans will be offered for the first time. In collaboration with T_Ohr, the DTM is making the racing action accessible to even more people.

Live audio description will be available during the twelfth round of the championship on Sunday from 1.15 pm. Reporters from T_Ohr will guide listeners through the action at the Nürburgring and provide commentary on the race. The broadcast can be accessed via the T_Ohr website and the Mycrocast app.

T_Ohr is committed to providing people with visual impairments across Germany with barrier-free access to sporting and cultural events. To this end, the project plans and delivers, amongst other things, live commentary for the visually impaired, provides training and raises awareness among clubs and cultural venues, and trains new commentators for the visually impaired.
