After Le Mans: Here’s how things currently stand in the FIA WEC LMGT3 class

As is well known, the FIA WEC consists of two classes. Alongside the Hypercars, which compete amongst themselves for overall victory in the races, the LMGT3 cars also compete in the World Endurance Championship. The nine manufacturers – Aston Martin, BMW, Corvette, Ferrari, Ford, Lexus, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche – are each represented by two cars in the field. However, each car must also have at least one driver in its line-up who holds FIA Bronze status.

Following their class victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Nicky Catsburg and Jonny Edgar lead the standings. They have accumulated 72 points. At the Le Mans classic, both drove alongside Ben Keating in TF Sport’s Corvette Z06 LMGT3.R. However, the American had to miss the first two WEC rounds at Imola and Spa-Francorchamps due to injury. As a result, Keating has only scored 50 points. He nevertheless remains in second place in the standings.

In third place are François Hériau, Simon Mann and Alessio Rovera with 40 points. The trio drive a Ferrari 296 LMGT3 Evo from Vista AF Corse. Rounding out the top four are Tom van Rompuy and Hadrien David in the Lexus RC F LMGT3 from the Akkodis ASP Team with 37 points. Right behind them is their team-mate Jack Hawksworth with 36 points.

The team standings paint a similar picture: TF Sport leads the way with 72 points. In second place is Vista AF Corse (with the #21 Ferrari) on 40 points, ahead of the Akkodis ASP Team (with the #78 Lexus) on 37 points. Garage 59 (with the #10 McLaren) is in fourth place with 34 points to their name. The next race in the FIA WEC is scheduled for 12 July 2026 at Interlagos in Brazil.
