Gaildorf: Roan van de Moosdijk (KTM) wins Saturday’s race

Saturday’s race at the fifth round of the ADAC MX Masters on the traditional hard-pack track in Gaildorf: championship leader Roan van de Moosdijk (Kosak KTM) set the fastest time in qualifying and started the race from pole position. Kevin Brumann (Husqvarna) started from second place.

Ludwig takes the holeshot

Noah Ludwig got off to a flying start, taking the holeshot ahead of Maximilian Spies (KTM), Jörgen-Matthias Talviku (Yamaha) and Valentin Guillod (Yamaha). Van de Moosdijk started within the top five. At the front, a duel developed between Ludwig and Spies, whilst the championship leader moved up to third place. Ludwig initially managed to pull away slightly, whilst van de Moosdijk overtook Spies. Ludwig managed to defend his lead until halfway through the race, but the Dutchman used the outside lines to overtake Noah and take the lead. By the finish, he had extended his lead to 7.2 seconds.

Koch versus Spies

Tom Koch (Sarholz KTM) battled it out with Maximilian Spies (Becker Racing KTM) in the second half of the race for third place. Koch came out on top and ultimately finished with a clear lead over Spies in fourth place. Guest rider Valentin Guillod from Switzerland finished the race in seventh place.
