Qualifying live ticker: Who will secure the first pole position at the ‘Madring’?

This weekend, Formula 1 will race for the first time at the ‘Madring’ circuit in the north-east of the Spanish capital, Madrid. In Friday’s first practice sessions, Mercedes came out on top (Russell in FP1, Antonelli in FP2), closely followed by Ferrari. In FP3 on Saturday afternoon, Kimi Antonelli edged his way to the top late on, after Leclerc had been the leader for a long time.

Just how chaotic will it be at the Madring? The red flag has already been waved three times during the Formula 1 session: in FP2 following an accident involving Arvid Lindblad, and in FP3 when Lewis Hamilton crashed into the barrier. Shortly before the end of the extended session, Haas driver Oliver Bearman also crashed.
