Ford on pole position for the Suzuka 1000km

Christopher Mies, Dennis Olsen and Frédéric Vervisch are on pole for the Suzuka 1000km. Driving for Miedecke Motorsport by Team MPC, they secured pole position for the fourth round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge. The team has benefited from a penalty imposed on Mercedes-AMG Team Craft-Bamboo Racing, which had originally secured pole position but has been demoted three places following a breach of regulations in practice.

Seita Nonaka, Takuro Shinohara and Tadasuke Makino will start from second on the grid in the Ponos Racing Ferrari.

Ayhancan Güven, Alessandro Ghiretti and Dorian Boccolacci will start from third on the grid in the Absolute Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R.
