Euro Moto Most: Sunday’s schedule

On race Sunday, the challenge for fans lining the track will be to find some shade and the nearest drinks stall. The riders will compete in six races, whilst the Euro Moto Superbike riders will take to the track twice. The starting procedure has been kept to a minimum so as not to make the battle against the heat any worse.

A quick start

Temperatures continue to rise. For this reason, the mandatory start procedure for the Euro Moto class races at Most this weekend has been suspended. The promoter announced this after reviewing the weather forecast. The quick-start procedure will apply. Here is how the shortened version works: instead of 15 minutes, the pit lane will be opened for 60 seconds seven minutes before the start. After the formation lap, the riders will take up their positions. The race will start immediately after the warm-up lap. Riders’ representatives Toni Finsterbusch (Superbike), Marvin Siebdrath (Supersport) and Micky Winkler (Sportbike) have spoken out against any further shortening of the races in the EURO MOTO classes. In their view, the riders’ physical performance is assured despite the high temperatures.

The finale

Once all the races are over, it’s still far from time for a cold one. Because after that, it’s time to pack up and leave. The pits – and indeed the entire paddock – must be left spotlessly clean by 7 pm. After that, at least at the race track, it’s time to call it a day.

The stream

There’ll be another live stream. But from 10.45 am, you can enjoy the Euro Moto races and the supporting races via the stream provided by Radio Viktoria, with a cold drink in one hand and a pocket fan in the other. Tommie Deitenbach, Lukas Gajewski and Danijel Peric will be back on the mic. Tom Brooks will provide the English commentary. “Unfortunately, we’re still without a drone and with one less track camera,” explains production manager Stephan Kraus. In Most, the sun is shining this morning under a blue sky, with temperatures around 22°C. At midday, there will be scattered clouds and the temperature will rise to 39°C. In the evening, parts of the sky in Most will be overcast, with temperatures ranging from 31 to 38°C.
