Camden Mc Lellan (Triumph) wins the Australian Grand Prix ahead of Liam Everts

With the title already decided in Guillem Farres’ favour after the first race, the second race was still up for grabs for the Grand Prix victory in Australia. Janis Reisulis (Yamaha) took the holeshot in the final race of the season ahead of Maxime Grau (Honda) and Liam Everts (Husqvarna). The two Triumph works riders were initially in 5th and 6th place. Everts overtook Grau to move into 2nd place, whilst the newly crowned MX2 champion Guillem Farres fought his way up to third place.

On lap 9, Liam Everts forced Janis Reisulis into a mistake and took the lead. ‘Liamski’ won the second race with an 11-second lead over Camden Mc Lellan, who had initially held off Sacha Coenen (KTM) and later his team-mate and world champion Guillem Farres, as well as Janis Reisulis. Mc Lellan crossed the line in second place and, with a 1-2 result, the South African was also crowned the day’s winner in Darwin. After clinching the title in the first race, Guillem Farres ran out of steam in the second race. The Spaniard finished the second race in fifth place behind Everts, Mc Lellan, Reisulis and Coenen.

Everts with a perfect end to the season

With his victory in the second race, Liam Everts not only secured second place on the Grand Prix podium but also fourth place in the World Championship standings. Simon Längenfelder (KTM), who was unable to compete in Darwin due to illness, dropped to fifth in the standings in the final race of the 2026 season. Camden Mc Lellan took the silver medal and Sacha Coenen finished third in the final standings.
