Fastest time for Verstappen’s Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the first practice session

Jules Gounon set the fastest time in the first practice session of the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup at Magny-Cours. The Frenchman, who lives in Andorra, completed a lap of the circuit in 1:17.190 minutes in the Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing car, which is fielded by 2Seas Motorsport.

Marvin Dienst secured second place in the WINWARD Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3. The German was 0.231 seconds off the fastest time.

The top three positions were rounded off by Maro Engel in the Mann-Filter Mamba, which is also fielded by WINWARD Racing.

Following a heavy shower during the lunch break, the session began on a drying track. The slippery surface made life difficult for the drivers, but apart from a few minor slips, there were no serious incidents.
