Jules Gounon in the Verstappen Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 on pole position

Jules Gounon has underlined his fine form at Magny-Cours by securing pole position for the first race of the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup. The Frenchman, who lives in Andorra, completed a lap of the circuit in 1:36.023 minutes in the Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3, entered by 2Seas Motorsport.

Second place went to Kiern Jewiss in the 2Seas Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT3, who was also the highest-placed Bronze Cup driver. He was 0.166 seconds off the fastest time.

Max Hesse, in the WRT BMW M4 GT3 which he shares with Valentino Rossi, rounded off the top three.
