Guest riders rarely feature in the line-up during a World Superbike Championship race weekend in Italy. This is because Dunlop tyres are mandatory in the national championship (CIV). All teams and/or riders who have a contract with this manufacturer are generally prohibited from switching to the Pirelli standard tyres in the production-based World Championship. This year, the 29-year-old is back on form and leads the closely contested series with one win and nine podium finishes. With a 43-point lead and only 50 points still up for grabs, Dalla Porta is all but certain to clinch the championship.
Manuel Rocca, on the other hand, is making his World Championship debut in the Sportbike series. By winning the 2025 Italian Yamaha R7 Cup, the 23-year-old earned promotion to the Sportbike Series. However, his team, Rosso & Nero Racing, has switched to a Triumph Daytona 660, which Rocca will also be riding in Cremona.
