Uddevalla: Austrian Ricardo Bauer (KTM) is the EMX125 champion

Having already won the Junior World Championship in early July, KTM youngster Ricardo Bauer secured the EMX125 European Championship title ahead of schedule with a one-two finish in Uddevalla. His last remaining title rival was his compatriot Moritz Ernecker, who had led the championship for a long time but had broken his tibia and fibula at the Junior World Championship in Jinin and had therefore been forced to miss several races. Initially, it was thought that his season was over.

Moritz Ernecker’s early comeback

Just five weeks after his serious leg injury, Ernecker returned to competition sooner than expected. With a 13-10 record, he finished the weekend in Uddevalla in 10th place overall and collected 19 championship points. However, he was unable to prevent Bauer from clinching the title early. Ernecker is still in contention for the runners-up spot at the season finale in Turkey.

Austria’s promising young talents

Ricardo Bauer was crowned EMX125 champion ahead of schedule in Uddevalla. Austria once again has promising young talents in motocross. Ricardo Bauer is Junior World Champion and EMX125 Champion, whilst Moritz Ernecker is still fighting for the runner-up title despite his injury. Congratulations on these impressive performances!
