Former ADAC GT Masters driver Dominic Jöst dies aged 47

The German motorsport world is mourning the loss of Dominic Jöst. The former ADAC GT Masters driver has died at the age of 47 following an illness, according to social media posts by his former teammates Wolfgang Land and Taki Konstantinou.

Jöst competed in the ADAC GT Masters between 2014 and 2016 for Herberth Motorsport, MRS GT-Racing and Car Collection Motorsport. His co-driver was usually Florian Scholze. Jöst enjoyed his most successful ADAC GT Masters season in 2015 in the Nissan GT-R GT3 run by MRS GT-Racing, where he finished in the points in three races. In the Gentlemen’s classification, the duo secured a strong third place overall.

Before joining the ADAC GT Masters, he enjoyed success in the German Porsche Carrera Cup. In 2013, driving for Attempto Racing, he secured six victories in the B class for gentleman drivers, finishing second overall in that class.
