Porsche star Thomas Preining kicks off the Sachsenring weekend with the fastest time

Porsche sets the fastest time in the first DTM practice session at the Sachsenring. The 2023 DTM champion, Thomas Preining, set the fastest time in the Manthey Porsche. Preining completed a lap in 1:18.148 minutes.

Second place went to Kelvin van der Linde in the Schubert Motorsport BMW M4 GT3. The South African was 0.087 seconds off the fastest time.

Ricardo Feller, in the second Manthey Porsche, rounded off the top three.

On his comeback, Maximilian Paul finished 19th in the Grasser Lamborghini. One-off driver Simon Connor Primm finished 18th in the Seyffarth Motorsport Audi in his first DTM session.
