Maro Engel kicks off the Norisring weekend with the fastest time

The DTM season highlight at the Norisring got off to a flying start with a Mercedes-AMG fastest lap. On his final lap, Maro Engel set the fastest time of 49.202 seconds in the WINWARD Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3.

Second place went to Maximilian Paul in the Grasser Racing Team’s Lamborghini Temerario GT3. The Dresden-based driver was just 0.023 seconds off the fastest time.

Ben Dörr, in the Dörr Motorsport McLaren, rounded off the top three.
