Thomas Preining sets fastest time for Porsche in second practice session

Thomas Preining struck back in the second DTM practice session at the Nürburgring, setting the fastest time. At the wheel of the Manthey Porsche, he completed a lap in 1:25.517 minutes.

Second place went to his Manthey team-mate Ricardo Feller. A gap of 0.249 seconds separated the two Porsches from the Meuspath-based team.

Kelvin van der Linde, in the Schubert Motorsport BMW M4 GT3, rounded off the top three.

After 13 minutes, a Full Course Yellow phase was declared as Marco Mapelli came to a halt at the pit entrance. The session was neutralised to allow the Abt team’s Lamborghini Temerario GT3 to be recovered. Following repairs, the car returned to the track at the end of the session.
