Official: Noah Ludwig (Sarholz KTM) to compete at the MXoN in Ernée

Following the injury-enforced withdrawal of Maximilian Spies, who suffered cervical vertebrae fractures during Saturday’s ADAC MX Masters race in Vellahn, Sarholz rider Noah Ludwig has now been nominated for the Motocross of Nations in the 450cc class.

“Noah was the reserve rider right from the start,” explained DMSB team manager Marcel Dornhöfer. His selection therefore comes as no surprise. During the selection process, the Aschersleben-based rider was also under consideration as an MX2 rider. At Loket, Noah made a guest appearance in the MX2 World Championship and scored World Championship points in both races. However, the DMSB ultimately opted for Kosak-KTM rider Valentin Kees as their official rider in the MX2 class.

A team of champions without champions

Germany could have had two absolute top-class riders on the starting grid this year in Supercross champion Ken Roczen and MX2 World Champion Simon Längenfelder, but both stars turned down the DMSB’s invitation. As Marcel Dornhöfer explained on the sidelines of the event in Vellahn, Simon needs the three weeks to prepare for the season. Anyone wishing to see US Supercross Champion Ken Roczen compete in Europe once more should mark 21 and 22 November in their diary, when he will be racing at the Supercross in Paris.
