Jorge Martin (Aprilia): Time out with Aleix Espargaro and Fermin Aldeguer

Before the action continues this weekend with the Czech Grand Prix at the Automotodrom Brno, the MotoGP stars have spent the last few days training, but also enjoying a few hours of relaxation. Aprilia rider Jorge Martin also took a short trip to the seaside last weekend.

Joining him were some friends of the 2024 world champion and his partner Maria Monfort Matutes. During their tour from bay to bay, the group also met up with mate Aleix Espargaro, who was also taking a short break with his family. The setting was the area around the well-known holiday resort of Lloret de Mar, north-east of Barcelona.

Honda test rider Aleix Espargaro was initially out on a speedboat, before switching to Martin’s boat. Also present was Aleix’s son Max, who clearly enjoyed the racing atmosphere on board and has long since caught the racing bug. Also part of the crew was former racing driver Ricky Cardus, who is one of the operators of the popular training facility “Rocco’s Ranch” near Barcelona.

Exciting: Gresini-Ducati ace Fermin Aldeguer was also on board. This could be seen as a kind of compensation. As a reminder: Martin had knocked his young compatriot off his bike rather roughly during the start of the MotoGP main race at the Balaton Park Circuit. Also ending up on the ground were team-mate Marco Bezzecchi, Trackhouse Aprilia rider Raul Fernandez and Fabio Di Giannantonio (VR46) – the Italian was able to resume the race after the mass crash.
