Günther Steiner: “Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari need to be incredibly careful”

Lewis Hamilton is on an enviable run: second in Canada, second in Monaco, winner in Spain. The most successful Formula 1 driver has finally found his place with the most successful Formula 1 team.

Former Haas team principal Günther Steiner says on the podcast *The Red Flags* what the Italians and their British superstar now need to bear in mind: “Of course, there’s euphoria in Italy following the victory. But Hamilton and Ferrari need to keep their feet on the ground.”

“What happened in Spain is a huge boost for Hamilton at Ferrari. I mean, he’s given the Italians their first GP win since October 2024. But for all the joy over this undoubtedly fantastic success in Catalonia, it doesn’t automatically mean things will go the same way next time.”

“In Formula 1, the next race usually comes around quite quickly, and then everything can look completely different again. Ferrari and Hamilton must stay grounded and focused; thinking ‘Oh, from now on we’ll win everything’ would be completely wrong.”
