DMSB Pairs Cup: Smolinski/Grobauer triumphed under the AMC Haunstetten banner

At the 2025 Speedway Pairs Cup, Martin Smolinski and Valentin Grobauer competed for MSC Pocking and lost the title to AC Landshut in the final. The two Bavarians competed together again this year, but this time under the colours of AMC Haunstetten. The Augsburg-based team had originally planned to field Daniel Spiller and Grobauer, but following Spiller’s injury, Smolinski was brought in as a replacement.

Grobauer and Smolinski made an almost flawless start to the competition for Haunstetten, winning their first five duels by comfortable margins. However, as the Inn-Isar Racing Team, with Lars Skupien and Celina Liebmann, also dropped hardly any points, the title was not yet secured going into the final two rounds. In the head-to-head between Haunstetten and Inn Isar, Grobauer and Smolinski were defeated for the only time when Skupien managed to finish ahead of them. However, as Skupien and Liebmann suffered a clear 2–7 defeat to MC Güstrow in the 25th race, the title was already out of reach for AMC Haunstetten with three races still to go. With their victory over the Inn-Isar Racing Team, the Güstrow side from Barlachstadt secured bronze in the pairs championship.
