The Haupt Racing Team will line up with just two Ford Mustang GT3s at the ADAC GT Masters at the Lausitzring. The third car, driven by Italian Max Cuccarese and Alain Valente, will not be taking part in the event in Brandenburg.
A team spokesperson confirmed to SPEEDWEEK that Cuccarese is unable to compete on the circuit between Berlin and Dresden for health reasons.
As a result, the Drees-based team will field just two of the spectacular V8 race cars on the East German circuit. The #1 Mustang GT3 will continue to be driven by Emil Gjerdrum and Max Reis, whilst Niklas Kalus and Kiano Blum will be at the wheel of the sister car.
Haupt Racing Team’s plan is for the third car to return to action at their home race at the Nürburgring, which takes place on the second weekend in July as part of the Truck GP.
