Euro Moto News: Newcomers, repeat entrants and a team change

A new talent from the Netherlands is making his debut at Hockenheim. An old familiar face is returning from Saxony, and an Austrian is swapping Saxony for the Netherlands.

New talent from the Netherlands

Team SWPN, a partner of the ‘Zorgeloos Kind’ foundation, is fielding Kyano Schoo at the Euro Moto Sportbike season finale. Schoo is the new champion of the Yamaha Racing BLU CRU Benelux R7 Cup and, thanks to Yamaha Motor Europe’s Benelux branch, will have the chance to make his debut in the Euro Moto. In early September, Schoo secured the Yamaha R7 Cup title at the TT Circuit Assen. With his victory in the first race, he also celebrated his eleventh consecutive win, capping off a particularly strong season. As a reward for this achievement, the Yamaha rider will have the opportunity to experience the international standard of the Euro Moto Sportbike class at the finale in Hockenheim.

The collaboration is in line with the shared vision of Team SWPN and Yamaha to offer talented riders from the Yamaha Racing BLU CRU Benelux Championship opportunities for further development. “When I found out that I’d be allowed to ride for SWPN at Hockenheim on a wildcard, I was absolutely delighted straight away,” said Schoo. “After winning the R7 Cup Championship, this is yet another great opportunity that BLU CRU is offering me to take the next step and develop further. I’ll do my best to make it a great weekend, and I’m really looking forward to it.”

Same as every year

Max Enderlein is back. At the Euro Moto finale, the three-time IDM Supersport champion (2018, 2019, 2022) will take to the track as a guest rider on an MV Agusta F3 800 RR. And as usual, Enderlein’s appearance is preceded by meticulous preparation. Start number 32, Axalta MV Agusta Racing Team, Euro Moto Supersport. Behind the project are Daniel Rauh from Fast Bike Service in Mülheim an der Ruhr and Achim Weber from WM Motorsport in Cologne. Main sponsor Axalta is an international paint manufacturer. For Enderlein, this marks his first race in the series since the 2024 IDM finale. The 29-year-old clocked his first kilometres on the MV during private tests. Some things are working well, whilst others are uncharted territory. Technically, too, the team is forging its own path and relying on YSS suspension components.

Max Enderlein startet neuen Versuch

“Supersport is the class where I feel at home. After the break, I’m really looking forward to going for it again at Hockenheim – and on an MV Agusta with the number 32, no less. We’ll see what we can achieve at the weekend,” says the Saxon from Hohenstein-Ernstthal. “We won’t be perfect, but on the other hand, I’ve matured.” And what comes next? Enderlein isn’t giving anything away just yet. His answer to the question of whether he can imagine a full-scale return: “Perhaps.” (Source: euromoto.racing)

Changes

Until now, Luis Rammerstorfer had been part of Carsten Freudenberg’s Triumph team. But after the Austrian had largely destroyed his bike in a crash at the Nürburgring, good advice was hard to come by. Help came from the Netherlands. At Team RT Motorsports, the Triumph belonging to the injured Austrian Jakob Rosenthaler has been left unused. Instead of one Austrian, another is now stepping in as a replacement. “We’ve got a spare motorbike,” said team boss Rob Vennegoor, “so I told Luis to get on it.” He will compete alongside Tom Kuil in the Euro Moto Sportbike class. The Spaniard Daniel Mogeda is also part of the team – though he’ll be riding a Honda. “We’re keeping our options open,” said Vennegoor, “including with regard to Honda. It’s no secret that we want to compete in the World Championship again one day. Now we’ll see where the journey takes us.”
