Tom Vialle (HRC) will compete in Round 2 of the WSX at the British GP in Birmingham

On 10 October, the second round of the FIM Supercross World Championship (WSX) will take place at Birmingham’s Alexander Stadium. Two-time MX2 Motocross World Champion and two-time AMA SX East Champion Tom Vialle (Honda) has been signed up as a wildcard rider by series promoter Global SX.

The championship, which is still fighting for its survival, begins on 8 August in Canada. However, the calendar for this year (as at 29 June 2026) is still not complete. Rounds 5 and 6 are still marked as ‘tba’, ‘to be announced’.

WSX continues to lead a shadowy existence

Neither the factory teams nor the top riders have shown any significant interest in this series since the WSX was founded, which is why riders have repeatedly been signed up for individual races: Ken Roczen, Haiden Deegan and Eli Tomac were all signed to lend the series a certain level of prestige.

Race director Thomas Covington explained: “Tom will be making his World Supercross debut in Birmingham, and that brings real quality to the field. The British Grand Prix is developing into a key event on the calendar.”
