Austrian GP: Fan experiences and MopedGP on ‘Super Thursday’

The Austrian Grand Prix will take place in Spielberg from 18 to 20 September. Before the MotoGP stars battle it out for World Championship points at the Red Bull Ring, fans can look forward to two exciting events on ‘Super Thursday’.

Public Pit Lane Walk

The race weekend in Styria traditionally kicks off on Thursday with the Public Pit Lane Walk. On 17 September, fans can stroll through the pit lane and get a behind-the-scenes look at the MotoGP teams. Weekend ticket holders are granted access; due to the limited number of visitors, entry is on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.

MopedGP – racing action with 50cc bikes

The ‘Austrian MopedGP’ will also take place on 17 September. This popular 50cc race will be held for the third time in 2026. It’s less about speed and more about celebrating the tradition of moped riding, which is deeply rooted in this country. Participants will take to the Grand Prix circuit on their prized possessions and compete against a number of MotoGP stars, who, for a change, will also be revving their engines on bikes with a displacement of up to 50 cc. Any rider with a suitable registered vehicle and a ticket for the ‘2026 Austrian Motorcycle Grand Prix’ can take part.
